As the GHG Reporting Advisor, you will have a key role supporting Shell Australia assets (Operated and Non-Operated) to meet Shell’s internal and external requirements related to greenhouse gas emissions and nature reporting, directly supporting Shell’s Net Zero Emissions (NZE) and Respecting Nature (RN) strategic ambitions.

What you’ll be doing
You will engage with stakeholders across assets to coordinate and assure data related to GHG emissions, providing timely and structured support in a compliance environment. Specifically, your role will contribute by:
Coordinating and delivering timely internal and external emissions reporting across the East portfolio. Focal point responsible for delivering timely statutory reporting across the East portfolio.
Building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders. These include stakeholders across the QGC assets, Arrow and the C&S team to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance with mandatory disclosures. Work closely with Environment Discipline SMEs, Process Engineering and Hydrocarbon Accounting Engineers. Nurture a positive ongoing working relationship with Group Sustainability and Reporting colleagues within the central team and work with them productively, noting the challenging time zone differences.
Maintaining auditable repository of GHG source dataset in line with regulatory records management requirements including documentation on emissions methodology changes, distinguishment between actual and estimated data. Coordinate DCAP and GHGEMP documentation review.
Implementing the Performance Reporting Monitoring (PMR) reporting system transition from SERS (Shell Environmental Reporting System) to Environmental Insights. Collaborate closely with the Senior Carbon Advisor, Sustainability Advisor and GHG Reporting Advisor based in the West Coast. Environmental Insights systems data custodian for East portfolio.
What you bring

You will work across assets and functions to develop relationship that enable consistent and compliance reporting, with a direct impact on our success. Furthermore, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (desired) in a technical/environment related discipline.
Knowledge in Environmental Reporting Systems (especially for emissions quantification)
Understanding of relevant legislation relating to emissions and associated reporting [National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 and NGER (Safeguard Mechanism) Rule 2015, EU CSRD legislation] would be preferred
Willingness to learn more and keep up to date is key
Strong interpersonal skills, with enthusiasm to proactively connect with stakeholders across the business; with a commitment to authentic, honest, open and transparent communication with the courage to share views, insights, uncomfortable truths whilst accepting and supporting decisions made
Confidence in multi-tasking and delivering to stringent deadlines, with a relentless drive for simplification and improvement through organized, structured ways of working
Champion DE&I, and deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability
This role is expected to be based in Brisbane given the heavy QGC and Arrow workload and need to be co-located with key asset stakeholders.
