Natural Gas Scheduler
What’s the role
In Trading and Supply we are interested in attracting people to our business who share our core values of honesty, integrity and have respect for others. We also want those who can build on our business vision, are prepared to accept accountability, and can achieve great results through teamwork.
As a Natural Gas Scheduler, you’ll be part of the North America Gas Scheduling team. In this front office position, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Shell Energy Americas (SEAm) natural gas activities. With primary responsibilities in Canada, but with the potential for additional Mid-West US activities, you will be working intimately with trading staff to optimize transport and storage assets, while minimizing profit leakage.
We do this by coordinating all aspects of the post-deal trading operations activity for our gas trading teams by ensuring that all obligations within the contracts are met and carried out professionally. Being part of an international team, with half in Calgary and the other half in Houston, you will provide scheduling and operations support to both the Canadian and Mid-West US trade desks, including the upcoming LNG Canada project. SEAm operations currently have a weekend scheduling team that provides primary weekend coverage.
