
Supply Hub- CI & Agile Lead
The Lubricants Supply Chain (LSC) Agile and CI Lead for India plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the value chain. This role focuses on aligning strategic operational initiatives with business outcomes, delivering measurable operational, and performance gains across the supply value chain phases of plan, source, make and deliver while embedding sustainability, safety, and quality. This position is critical for developing CI capability at all levels of Lubricants Supply, creating a strong bench of CI practitioners, and enabling cross-functional transformation that accelerates operational maturity and cultural evolution in the India business
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Program Development
• Lead the India CI strategy, aligned with regional and Local operational excellence and FIT4 transformation goals.
• Drive cultural change through the promotion and execution of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Safety, Quality and other CI methodologies.
• Integrate CI initiatives across supply chain while embedding safety, quality, and sustainability objectives to ensure holistic improvement and replication in India business.
2. Capability Building & Engagement
•Manage and scale the CI Practitioner (CIP1) training and certification program.
• Coach and mentor CI practitioners, team leaders, and change agents to deliver value through structured problem-solving.
• Create an ecosystem of peer learning, knowledge sharing, and recognition across the APAC.
3. Project & Initiative Delivery
• Lead and support high-impact CI projects that target cost optimization, risk mitigation, quality improvement and efficiency.
• Drive replication of successful initiatives across other countries through structured sharing platforms and regular performance tracking.
• Manage special assignment and leading in improvement projects such as Supply Chain as a Service, cross-functional projects, connecting with other regions/businesses
4. Governance, Communication & Recognition
• Establish CI forums and rhythm (biweekly sessions, monthly tracking, quarterly reviews) to ensure transparency and momentum.
• Track benefits (e.g., financial savings, productivity gains) and report status to leadership.
• Design recognition programs to celebrate initiative success, role model behaviors, and team contributions.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Leadership
• Partner with plant managers, QHSSE, LSC LT and functional heads to co-lead change.
• Align CI efforts with business unit goals and address cross-functional challenges.
• Support sustainability, safety, and quality teams in embedding long-term improvements into operations
• Provide CI Maturity assessment and benchmarking with external markets
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or similar leadership roles and understanding of Lubricants business and LSC process is a preference
Certified in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), or TPM methodologies. - Proven track record of driving cross-country or multi-site transformation projects.
- Experience in facilitating learning and leading workshops with all levels of leadership
- Excellence in developing new ways of doing things and ability to inspire others to follow the new approach
- Driving/managing complex projects requiring strong stakeholder engagement competency on regional & local level
- Experience in coaching and developing others in CI tools and leadership behaviors
