The Role

Do you enjoy working with a highly motivated and talented team to deliver information management services for Shell’s Upstream, Project and Technology, Integrated Gas and Renewable Energy Solution (PTUPIGRES) community? Shell PTUPIGRES is growing and as Information Management Operations Engineers as well as Documents and Record Management (DRM) SME cum custodian, we will play a key role. Information is the most valuable commodity of the digital economy, we help the business treat information as a strategic asset and turn it into a competitive advantage, a key enabler for digital transformation and our Shell powering Progress Strategy. We help deploy, support, manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance IM Products and Services for a wide variety of user groups. We are also focusing on supporting SharePoint and M365 products, including all new implementations and changes. Physical and Digital Records Management also plays a major part in our team scope. We provide end-to-end DRM operations service to several organization units and SME services on a need-to basis for the rest of the Shell.

Where you fit in

You will be joining a team which aims to meet Shell growing need for a secure and reliable IM Solution with best-in-class technology and security embedment. We adopt Agile ways of working, primarily DevOps framework. Although we are responsible to support, run and maintain applications onboarded to IMDRM SOM; we also actively participate in new solution developments and existing solution transitioning. We step in for relevant IM related issues/incidents/problems/escalations with the sole aim to support and coordinate the best possible outcome for the satisfaction of our customers.

What’s the role?

As an IMDRM IT Operations Engineer, we’ll entrust you to work in collaboration with a wide range of IT Operations teams as well as various enterprise IT and business IT teams to operate IM footprint for PTUPIGRES and serve as DRM SME. You will help resolving incidents and problems in IT Operations and maintain stable, secure and compliant IM products and services. Further, you will involve in continual improvement and IT Ops of the future initiatives which could be aiming at automation, digitalization, user experience improvement and security hardening. You are also expected to maintain/improve infrastructure and processes for higher levels of availability and scalability. You are to monitor and administer service performance. You will also act as a liaison between our customers and support teams (other IT teams, AOMS partners and vendors).

Provide E-2-E accountability for the operational assurance of the IMDRM Landscape (operations, projects, planning, budget, business confidence, compliance, release and deployments, and team management). A hybrid role, where I&D Applications Landscape Management and Physical Records Operations Management.

  • E-2-E operations of landscapes and delivery of day-to-day Information and Data Applications services and physical records to the agreed Service Levels and/or Operate Level Agreements.

  • Service integrator to ensure IM, and I&D landscape remain compliant.

  • Drives incident/problem resolution - assisting in key operational activities for delivery, fixes, and supportability with operations staff, suppliers, Enterprise Services manager, OLMs, and AOMS partners.

  • Ensure regulatory / compliance controls are embedded and assist with evidence collection.

  • Support/assist with supportability and transition activities.

  • Assist in the delivery of a secure and stable IT environment for our business.

  • DRM services for Legal Entities that opted for services (archiving, scanning, indexing, contract set-up, vendor mgmt, ops mgmt)

  • Ensure services performance and assurance according to agreed SLAs, standards and disposition policy.

  • Relationship with business FPs, gathering new demands, change requirements & operational support activities.

  • Assurance of preservation/compliance activity. Responsible to report back and work with PTUPIGRES Compliance Manager/Compliance Leads.

  • Accountable to IMDRM SOM for Cost Leadership Drive functional improvement and alignment with global IMDRM services working with Facility Engineering IM, Asset IM, and I&D teams.

  • Manage DRM improvement projects/Consultancy services to the Legal Entities/Assets where applicable.

  • Assist Relevant Change and Release Management. Manage business Communication of Changes appropriately. Monitor and analyze I&D landscape changes and change impact for PTUPIGRES.

  • Projects and Release Management. Represent Upstream on portfolio investment analysis & benefits management if needed. Drive strategic business discussions to bring the view of technology implications to strategic discussions. Manage PTUPIGRES impact and ensure communication to all relevant stakeholders

  • Set up and maintain operational service support and performance models focused on PTUPIGRES requirements.

  • Keeping services up and running or getting them back up and running quickly when a failure occurs.

  • Working closely with internal partners and teams to ensure that we provide products & services that meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.

  • Writing, updating, and user documentation, including runbooks/playbooks/lessons.

  • Automating work including infrastructure needs, testing, control operations, failover solutions and failure mitigation.

What we need from you?

We are keen to work with people that are focused on emerging IM products and technologies plus associated integration capabilities as the market develops. When it comes to nurturing collaborative stakeholder relations, it’s your excellent people skills that will make the difference. Strong communication skills with fluency in English.

We’re keen to hear from passionate individuals who are highly driven, ‘can do’, inspiring, and able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner understood. A professional with a proven track record of IT Operations and commercial acumen. Someone with strong and proven Interpersonal, Influencing & Stakeholder Management Skills. Beyond that, we’d hope to see the following on your CV:

  • With at least 5 years or more of IT service management experience

  • University degrees, such as Information Technology, Information Management, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • ITSM proficiency with ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification or Agile Service Management.

  • Knows their way around Microsas oft products such SharePoint and M365 suites.

  • Cloud Computing (Amazon Web Services & or Microsoft Azure)

  • Proficient with service management tools such as ServiceNow,

  • Experience debugging application problems.

  • Understands fundamentals of hosting and storage as well as end-user computing.

  • Team player, working with the team, as well as the larger organised action.

  • Proficient in preparation of reports and presentations.

  • Ability to convey complex analysis in a concise, understandable manner.
