What’s the role

Technical support roles reside in all the Business within Shell and are typically at the front line of the Company’s activities.  Technical support jobs in Engineering, Maintenance and Operations involve working in teams tasked with the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of our global projects and assets, and could include Instrumentation Technicians, Electricians, Welders, Mechanics, Pipefitters, and Field and Process Operators.

What you’ll be doing

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be expected to perform the following accountabilities:

  • Carry out Maintenance in accordance with roles described in Streamline .
  • Execute Maintenance activities per instruction by the Maintenance Supervisor, and may include the keeping of records, monitoring of maintenance costs, and production performance.
  • Carry out maintenance in accordance with the agreed schedules and consistent with HSSE rules and regulations including the PTW system.
  • Work with Blending, Filling Operators, Bulk Receipt and Tank Farm Operators and Bulk Filling Operators to ensure asset availability is maximized.
  • support commissioning and start-up of new manufacturing plant
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the production area.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance team for servicing of GMP equipment with minimum downtime affecting production schedule.
  • support maintenance supervisor in develop and write working instruction and SOPs.
  • Execute the maintenance activities accordance to the schedule and in time bases.
  • Execute day to day preventive maintenance check and reporting base on the actual condition of plant production equipment’s.
  • Must have basic knowledge in plant Utility equipment’s,
  • Consistently execute current Preventive Maintenance works.

What you bring

We are keen to speak with candidates who will have the following:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related, with minimum 3 years relevant experience, in maintenance and engineering of manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, specifications and technical drawings such.
  • Familiarity with plant equipment’s and facilities.
  • Experience with rotating equipment maintenance
  • Lifting experience is a plus
