Job Description:

Are you an analytic thinker with the drive for delivery? Do you thrive to beat the competition? If so, then this role is for you. You will be leading the next chapter of Shell Lubricants Egypt (SLE) Indirect Channel journey taking the helm of one of Shell's largest Indirect businesses globally.

Despite SLE's continuous growth journey and success, pockets of growth continue to exist across the country. Our Distributors have been growing YoY and the competition has been relentless to preserve their ground and has shown limited success. 

Should you choose to join, you will be joining a dynamic, strategic and action oriented team of marketers. You will be supervised by the B2Ci Marketing Manager and working with your brand, channel, Indirect Channel Excellence, and sales colleagues to deliver on the opportunities that you will uncover from the insights at hand. Retail audits, consumer behavior, market insights and data analytics will be your bread and butter for highlighting opportunities. Distributors teams and agencies will be your extended arms in the market to enact change and capture opportunities.

As the Trade Marketer, you will be responsible for supporting the biggest SLE's current business channel. This will require that you develop a deep understanding of the value chain, their pain points and opportunities to create loyalty to Shell. You will work with sales to ensure we remain competitive across our portfolio across the trade channel.

Key areas of focus include but not limited to implementing trade CVPs that will drive push and pull strategies, supporting delivery of brand campaigns in the channel, manage activity ROIs and liaise with distributors on marketing activities.

This is a field-based role requires high frequency of domestic travel between all distribution geographies.

This role is a mix of strategic thinking, analytic capabilities, inclination for action and the ability to deliver through others.

The following is a list of skills the successful candidate should have:

1. +3 years in high-performing, customer-focused environment, especially with experience in marketing roles.  Prior experience in trade/channel/customer marketing is a must, including channel penetration, trial creation and conversion to usage/loyalty.  FMCG experience is preferred.
2. Evidence of strong commercial acumen, and track record for over-delivery on targets.  Experience working with distributors is desired.
3. Solution development and creative problem solving
4. Successful integration for collaborative development and implementation with brands & sales/operations teams.  Good interpersonal skills.
5. Must be highly self-motivated and able to effectively manage self/time amongst many competing priorities
6. Lubricants knowledge helpful but not mandatory
7. Experience with Retail Operations, Network & Project Management would be highly desirable.
8. Strong effective communication skills is required to manage various stakeholders
