Job Description

The new SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shell’s business & assets around the world.

The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment and Asset Management with:

  • shaping the future ways of working through introducing to the business new technology and new ways of working, including e.g. digital, SBO, and real-time, data-driven, end-to-end optimization and risk management, but also global programmes like Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy
  • providing performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results
  • helping the businesses build their improvement plans and provide support to execute them
  • sustaining performance through strong core capabilities (internal, including SBO & contingent) through building expertise and a company-wide consistent approach

Job Purpose:

  • To independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions for effective management of Geo-Information within SSW (Sub-Surface and Wells)
  • Support a variety of improvement projects and may be called on to steer projects as needed
  • Ensure Data Management activities meets Group Data Quality Standards compliance as they relate to operations

The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.

Purpose & Accountabilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the HPIM principles for associated asset(s)

  • Act as the first point of contact for the asset(s) pertaining to HPIM and FECR Support

  • Design, build and deploy allocation networks for assets, to enable allocation via Energy Components

  • Conduct data analysis to make business recommendations

  • Take ownership of the delivery offered to assets under HPIM and EC Support

  • Innovate, suggest, and implement solutions to improve the allocation process in Energy Components (EC)

  • Build internal/external solutions to automate business processes

  • Work closely with business process owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Manage and coordinate with IT functions to deliver system changes in Energy Components for associated EC instances (assets)

  • Ensure compliance to Key Performance Indices agreed with the asset for Energy Components configurations changes - 

  • Good quality delivery: First time right

  • Scope of Delivery

  • Information Management 

  • Ensure compliance to Information Risk management associated with EC instances (assets)

  • Investigate and troubleshoot system malfunction in collaboration with L2 & L3 IT support function

  • Engage with asset for estimating and planning changes

  • Demonstrate Continuous Improvement Mindset to deliver improvement drives

  • Support upskilling of team

  • Support business growth for TAO

Skills and Requirement:

  • Education: University degree in Engineering (Preferably Petroleum Engineering)

  • Experience: 2-4 years in the related domain

  • Understanding of Upstream Production Operations and Support functions

  • Strong technical knowledge of the application Energy Components

  • Skilled in PL/SQL & Oracle Database

  • Skilled in working with data visualization tools like Power BI

  • Strong Analytical Skills (Business analysis and Data analysis)

  • Strong Stakeholder Management to manage expectation and delivery

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams from different business environments and cultures

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and work with new and emerging technologies

  • Excellent Business Communication

  • Strong tendency of Knowledge Sharing and Coaching

  • Motivated, requiring little supervision/guidance

  • Awareness of Project Management and Change Management
