Where you fit in

You will be a key part of the Service & Operations Management (SOM) team with a scope focus covering COG (Conventional Oil and Gas) & NOV (Non Operated Ventures) Operating Units, an organization that delivers secure, reliable and affordable IT operations to the IGU-PT business (Integrated Gas, Upstream and Projects & Technology). 

The UAE & Iraq Operations Team sits under the COG & NOV SOM as part of the wider IGU-PT Service & Operations Management team covering multiple operating units across multiple countries; UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, Tunisia, Albania and Italy, who are responsible for providing operate capabilities that enable reliable and secure digital solutions that are fit and adaptive and align with Asset lifecycle requirements, a key enabler for Assets of the Future.

What’s the role?

As an IT Site Assurance Analyst, you will be accountable for partnering with your colleagues to provide the best possible user experience to your end users, an opportunity to play a part in taking Site Management into IT Operations of the Future, using insights from data and applying intelligent operations.

You will support the Senior IDT Site Operations Lead (SOL) who are end-to-end accountable for Business operations, innovation, business confidence, financials and resourcing activities and service operation landscapes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective Major Incident (MI) management and swift service restoration (during Major Incidents) for IDSO services and products.

  • Working with the Senior IDT SOL to Operational Readiness for new demand, changes and projects impacting the portfolio, including analyzing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements, providing sign off, with Agreement to Deploy and Agreement to Operate as key milestones.

  • Ensuring adequate business controls are in place across the processes used in support of the site service delivery including controlling of the contract expenditure.

  • Reviewing the landscapes and products for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Information Risk Management (IRM) and IDT Controls compliance, as well as conformance to Health and Safety policies and legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for the identification of systemic issues in IDT landscapes, driving structural improvements while balancing costs with business value and supporting SOM in optimizing landscape Total Cost of Ownership.

  • Supporting the bottom-up budgeting of IDT services, mapping top-down figures to existing services, and monitors spend against budget, seek adherence to the budget as planned, assist in developing latest estimates per quarter.

  • Working with the Senior IDT SOL to Support Management of contracts including developing the contract, technical evaluation, contracts performance evaluation & renewal/closure of contracts.

  • Working with local IDTM/IDTA team for opportunities to consolidate contracts and or demand

  • Site operations accountability for additional lines of business beyond IGU-PT Assets/locations if/when applicable.

  • Monthly on-call rota duties for any high availability sites in scope to respond to any major incidents.

What we need from you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Existing rights to work in the UAE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Certification in IT

  • ITIL Certification (Foundation [mandatory] - Intermediate [preferred])

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in IT Service Operations

  • Significant relevant experience in IT infrastructure design, architecture or administration, preferably High-Performance Computing

  • Experience in working on interconnected Enterprise landscapes, Agile/Project Management (Scrum/PMBOK)

  • Product Management/DevOps skills and behaviors

  • Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders, escalating where appropriate

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, with proven customer focus and empathy

  • A continuous improvement mindset to drive operations of the future

  • Managing Guest in House services, and cost recovery across different Lines of Businesses is preferable

  • Ability to ensure one team mindset across the various teams to drive effective delivery

  • The operational nature of the role will require out of hours working, sometimes unplanned and on call

  • As the role is critical to the success of our assets and closely connected to Asset Operations, regular on-site presence and go-sees are inherent to the role

  • You will thrive in your ability to deal with state of the art, differentiated and often unproven technologies which require some learning on the job, and changing scope and priorities in a rapidly changing environment
