UAE LSC team is support function with team of total five members severing for Lubricants, Aviation, Macro distributors and Marine business.

What’s the role?

The purpose of the Supply Planner role is to develop the supply plan across the entire planning horizon for the allocated portfolio (products, locations, resources) to ensure that the right product is available at each location in order to fulfill customer orders on-time and in-full. This role maintains the tactical parameters for stock availability to ensure efficient and effective production plan, sourcing and replenishment of products through the network – all in line with the DDMRP (Demand driven material replenishment) methodology. This role is responsible for correct data visible in planning systems, GSAP and reporting tools and for communication to relevant stakeholder about product availability, supply disruptions, improvement and mitigation actions. As such Supply Planner have a very significant impact on Customer satisfaction, OTIF, Warehouse occupation, Working capital and production costs. This is a commercially focused operational and tactical role.

Accountabilities

*Review of Inventory targets and planning data:

  • The Supply Planner (SP) is the operationally accountable person that ensures that for the supply portfolio all replenishment planning parameters are understood, reviewed and maintained. He/She owns the setting of the stocking strategy and relevant safety stocks for the SKUs and locations in the supply portfolio.

  • Product master data need to be reviewed monthly in order to have smooth replenishment via O8.

*Ownership and management of inventory:

  • The Supply Planner will monitor and respond to inventory levels for the full planning horizon against targets defined (e.g. inventory days cover) for the supply portfolio. Manage product flow using DDMRP methodology in line with O8 proposals .He/she continuously improves supply chain optimization, inventory holding (including warehouse capacity consumption/utilization)

*Ensure a feasible supply plan is in place to deliver on-time-in-full to our customers.

  • He/ She should make sure orders are delivered on time and maintaining the OTIF as well and minimizing the Backorders.

  • The Supply Planner is accountable for Identifying and eliminating waste (e.g, preventing excess stock, identifying slow moving and potential obsolete SKUs) for their supply portfolio.

*Preparation of operational plans and management of supply issues:

  • The Supply Planner ensures appropriate replenishment plans (which includes replenishment from Shell OUs, Network or 3rd Party suppliers) for the entire horizon are generated for each SKU / location in their supply portfolio ready for scheduling and execution. He/she Identifies supply issues via alert identification and manages resolution appropriately. He/she uses the options available (Provide buffer stock update to SPO, redistribute inventory, expedite replenishment) to most effectively resolve supply issues.

* Medium-and Long-Term planning responsibilities:

  • The Supply Planner as owner of the replenishment plan across the horizon for the supply portfolio will participate in analyses during step 3 as required to define and evaluate tactical options for resolution of supply constraints. Proactively identify and intervene on cases of overstock in order to maintain actual stock levels within target ranges (including working capital targets)

 *Performance review and management:

  • The Supply Planner is responsible to provide RCA of OTIF failure orders. He/She is responsible for meeting the targets on Network OTIF, (3rd Party) Supplier OTIF, Stock in Target.

  • Execute diagnostics of on-time-in-full failures and implement effective remedial actions with relevant functional teams.

*Support for 3rd party planning processes:

  • The Supply Planner will (where relevant) also be accountable for defined steps in the 3rd party planning process such as providing the component replenishment plan for Toller operations and issuing the needed Purchase orders to 3rd Party suppliers in collaboration with the 3rd Party Coordinator.

*Perform monthly buffer reviews.

*Transactional data monitoring/cleansing/reporting

*LOF/STA management

* Back Orders Management

*Act as LSC interface with Sales for local markets when required.

What we need from You

  • Supply chain experience

  • Knowledgeable in Managing supply chain performance

  • Strong Interpersonal, negotiation and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across a deep and wide range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Good understanding of the Lubricants market would be an advantage
