What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, Packaging Operators are involved with the following activities:
Safely and efficiently operate packaging machinery and material movement equipment
Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase plant reliability
Communicate verbally and in writing to operators, employees, supervisors, and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity
Perform duties to distribute products to applicable areas, load and unload trucks, and support packaging lines
Perform tool preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean
Contribute to keeping process materials records and maintaining good housekeeping practices
Keep log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shifts
Understand and perform physical inventories
Demonstrate a safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards
Previous experience working with high-speed, high-volume material handling equipment, forklift, filling, bottling, and canning experience strongly preferred
What we need from you
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a packaging plant, or experience in an industrial plant or military environment
Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation

Must be able to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a visa
Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices, and actively participate in improving plant safety culture
Tend to emergencies; successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance
Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends when the need arises
Must be at least 18 years old, with a minimum high school diploma or GED
Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Prior military experience in a relevant job function such as warehouseman, supply, logistics, and forklift operations

The rate for this position is $25.91. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
