Where you fit in

This challenging role is at the center of Germany´s Corporate Relations function and vital to build, strengthen and enhance Shell’s reputation in Germany. You will play a vital role in making sure that Shell´s communication efforts are always data-driven, whether these efforts are proactive PR, reacting to news events or (co-)creating (online) campaigns. Your strategic and analytical skills will help taking impactful communication to the next level. As the Brand & Communications Analyst, you will work alongside content creators/editors, (social) spokespersons, corporate communications advisors, policy and advocacy advisors, and external agency partners to ensure Shell speaks with a consistent and compelling voice in Germany.

What is the role

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Monitor and analyze social, digital, and other data to bring the 'outside in' on audience's interest in/focus on/desire to hear from Shell and to measure the success of Shell’s communications and its distribution

  • Share insights, develop, and maintain data reporting within Corporate Relations, its stakeholders, and Shell DE’s key businesses to maximize data-driven communications 

  • Help write clear and concise briefings for (external) parties that create content; help external PR/Media/Brand agencies effectively deliver maximum value to Shell

  • Help develop new opportunities (e.g., new content formats, social media channels, digital events) in communications

What we need from you:

  • University level degree (Bachelor/Master) preferably with a focus on Communication Strategy, Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Campaign-Management, or Customer Analytics.

  • 5+ years of experience in data-driven brand or communications roles, with demonstrated experience in  collecting and interpreting data (e.g. to measure social and digital performance)

  • Tech savviness and proven knowledge of Content Management Systems, Adobe Creative Cloud plus social listening and social performance tools

  • Experienced in preparing and taking responsibility for data-driven impactful communication that feeds into an integrated communications plan designed to resonate across all priority audiences

  • Excellent analytical skills; strong people and communication skills

  • Fluent in German and in English
