The Commercial LNG Projects Manager is an essential member of Shell NA LNG LLC (“SNALNG”) and sits within the Americas LNG Trading and Origination team.  SNALNG is part of the global Shell LNG Marketing & Trading (“SLMT”) organization, which is responsible for long-term purchases and sales of LNG, regional new market entries, maximizing value of existing contracts, asset optimization and short-term trading of LNG.

With Trading and Origination, the position will develop and manage a supply and sales portfolio in the region and optimize the Elba asset, working closely with the Conventional and Downstream LNG teams.  As an individual contributor, the role works independently and leads peer groups to deliver projects from concept through to commercial operations. The role will involve ad hoc complex problem-solving skills relating to infrastructure projects and commercial situations within a contractual framework. The role will also involve commercial day-to-day interaction with the Elba Liquefaction/Regasification terminal and its operations (production, loadings, contractual requirements) to understand the value being generated, providing analysis and recommendations to the broader LNG team and Senior Leadership as required.

The role will specifically require a detailed understanding of contractual obligations to minimize cost, maximize production, flexibility, and to ensure safe and timely delivery.  The candidate should be able to identify the root causes of an issue, evaluate potential solutions supported by economic modelling, present those solutions with the most effective recommendation, and then implement such recommendation.
