The LATAM region is required to deliver high-yields and material business. Marketing is a key enabler to deliver this aggressive journey in the region, by leading and driving the strategic direction for Shell Lubricant business across three key sectors (Consumer, Transport, and Industrial).
What’s the role?
This is a unique opportunity for a driven, dynamic, and brand savvy marketing professional to help shape the LATAM regional strategy with a market focus lens. In order to compete effectively in the region, Shell LATAM needs to build internal marketing capabilities to synthesize market and category trends across 3 sectors.
Accountabilities:
Support the LATAM Marketing Director in developing and implementing an integrated regional marketing strategy for LATAM to secure aggressive business targets for the region are met.
Lead Shell market share journey to achieve leadership position in key markets. Work together with marketing regional teams and global analytics team to identify viable solution to build a reliable methodology to track market share in the region.
Work with B&C manager to develop brand strategy for PCMO, MCO, and HDEO in the region. Work with marketing team to align local marketing efforts are in line with regional strategy and market opportunities in each country.
Develop strategic assessment of the Consumer and Transport portfolios, identifying gap to potential in these two sectors.
Work closely with PLM and RMMs in a comprehensive portfolio assessment to identify key strategic gaps based on market needs and trends.
Lead quarterly strategic business reviews for three sectors (Consumer, Transport, and Industrial) to determine volume upside, portfolio gaps, and market opportunities.
Develop a culture of insights driven and market trends environment where business decisions are made from the outside in.
Identify geography benchmarks by sector among Shell global footprint to help develop marketing programs that will secure market share gains and brand health.
Develop competitive intelligence capabilities to inform internal stakeholders and leadership team of macro-economic trends, category dynamics, competitive activity, and cross-sell opportunities in all markets across the region.
Work with RMMs and marketing performance manager to establish reliable and consistent methodology to measure marketing ROI.
Support CMM in the definition of marketing priorities and work closely with cross-functional team to deliver performance driven actions to support LATAM business plan.
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Lubricants marketing, insights, portfolio and business strategy.
Highly knowledgeable of the different category dynamics in Lubes, with focus on Consumer and Transport sectors.
Awareness and understanding of macroeconomics in the Latin America region.
Full understanding of OEMs dynamics and PCMO Premium journey in other markets within Shell global footprint is highly desired.
Experience with strategic business planning, strategic analysis, and strategy implementation is a must.
Able to respond to multiple tasks with competing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage complex interfaces both internally and externally
Evidence of delivery complex projects through others.
Proficiency of English and Spanish is a highly desired.
The ideal candidate will be able to articulate regional market trends, category dynamics, and competitive landscape into a winning business strategy for Shell Lubricants in Latin America.
