The Role

Where You Fit In?

As Quality and Improvement Specialist for DACH you will be part of HR Country Operations DACH working closely with HR Operations teams and HR in country as well as other Q&I Specialists, Performance & Improvement GOS Team and Krakow CI network.
In your role, you will be driving the implementation of improvement ideas and playing a critical role in building CI awareness within HR Country Operations DACH.
For the approx. first 2 years you will work closely with Project Lead in implementing and driving the Operational Excellence Project agenda.

What is the Role?

We are looking for a high caliber, ambitious & energetic individual to strengthen Continuous Improvement in HR Operations. The successful candidate can expect to play a role in driving improvements and Continuous Improvement culture in HR Country Operations DACH and at the same time expanding network into the broader CI community.

In addition to honing her/his Process Management and Process Improvement skills, the successful candidate will further develop her/his skills in project management, change management, knowledge sharing, communications and customer focus as well as interpersonal competencies.

The goal for this position is to ensure that the organization achieves its CI plan for DACH:

  • Drive initiatives to eliminate non value-added activities.

  • Increase positive employee experience by simplifying processes and providing input to policy reviews and updates.

  • Establish more efficient and lean HR processes.

  • Standardize HR ways of working.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and digitalize processes.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work with HR Operations and country teams (e.g. Payroll, Policy, ER/IR, Consultants) to define process improvement opportunities.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Continuous Improvement framework in HR Operations.

  • Coach and train HR Operations and HR in country on the use of the CI methodology and to cultivate a continuous improvement culture and mindset.

  • Be the ambassador and change agent for the HR Operational Excellence project and help shape the project agenda.

  • Ensure that initiatives are properly managed (e.g. Op/Ex Dashboard, CI Bank) and that appropriate tools and ways of working (e.g. Lean Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking) are being used to drive Continuous Improvement.

  • Upskill and mentor advisors and Op/Ex project members on CI concepts (e.g. lean, agile) and CI ways of working

  • Assist project leads and process owners when necessary.

  • Manage or support, when appropriate, any regional initiatives.

  • Lead/Support team performance reviews with Process Owners through creating visibility in performance.

  • Provide where necessary data driven review with the appropriate drill down thus enabling root cause analyses and action planning review.

  • Identify the improvement needs and take the initiative based on clear prioritization criteria.

  • Ensure that proper control plans and sustainability measurements for introduced improvements are in place.

  • In cooperation with Process Architects and Process Owners ensure Knowledge Management Governance Framework is adhered to within HR Operations DACH.

What We Need from You?

Ideal candidate should preferably be either a CI/Lean practitioner or have a proven track of CI delivery.

Knowledge on HR processes and policies would be an additional asset but is not required.

Skills and experience that we are looking for include:

  • Fluent German is a must (minimum C1).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity and make decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement incl. senior stakeholders.

  • Service excellence & employee centricity mindset.

  • Coaching & mentoring to drive CI culture & initiatives.

  • External focus to bring new perspectives and best practices.

  • Managing competing demands from different stakeholders.

  • Team Player - Ability to work with people from various work streams cutting across functional boundaries and solicit partnership.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment, to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels.

  • Able to identify process gaps/waste and recommend improvements to ensure that process tasks are operated efficiently and effectively.
