We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel, who will be responsible for providing high quality, accurate and timely legal advice under Legal Services Global Operations department. This is a temporary position till the end of October 2025.

Your Responsibilities:

Marketing & Advertising (Global)

  • Support the review of marketing materials such as external communications, social media posts, blog posts, marketing campaigns, collaborative global reports for Aviation, Marine and Fleet Solutions.
  • Drafting of marketing related agreements which includes sponsorship agreements, memorandum of understanding and influencer agreements.
  • Collaborate with other legal subject matter experts on IP, sustainability issues and E&C to provide a wholesome legal advice on marketing materials.

Aviation (Global)

  • Conduct periodical checks on Aviation global templates to ensure that the templates are up to date with the latest E&C clauses as well as other commercial related clauses (with input from the business).
  • Support legal initiatives and improvement projects to enable and drive supply-led legal support.
  • Advise on matters relating to Aviation Technical Services as well as lead or support legal initiatives on new business development advising directly on the formation and conclusion of contracts.
  • Provide legal support for queries on global templates

Lubricants Macro Distributor

  • Draft and review the lubricants macro distributor agreements.
  • When required, update documents relating to the legal support for lubricants MD business such as the MD agreement, MD questionnaire as well as the MD playbook
  • Provide legal support for other ancillary matters such as drafting of addendums, reviewing credit related documents, letters of appointment, incentive programs.

  • preparing future risks and opportunities and protects Shell’s reputation and businesses from existing and emerging risks, balances business value and risk and, where necessary, intervenes to ensure compliance with Shell’s Business Principles and Code of Conduct;
  • Contributing to and enhances business decisions and continuity by sharing experience and knowledge and providing consistent, quality advice through a networked team; and
  • Delivering all aspects of legal services with operational excellence, supported by a culture that embeds and sustains differentiating behaviours and networked performance.

Requirements:

  • Law degree
  • At least 8 years or more of relevant post-graduation experience
  • Flexibility to work as part of virtual team. 
  • Fluency in English with strong English legal drafting skills.
  • Contracting experience with the ability to understand strategies and risk mitigation
