Job Summary

Adds, protects and optimizes value for Integrated Gas in Peru by developing commercial strategies and providing commercial advice in connection with Truck Loading Facilities. Supports the management of key customer accounts and coordinates the negotiation and execution of strategic agreements. This role ensures the successful delivery of Shell’s domestic LNG operations in Peru including associated administrative activities.

Job Purpose

Contributes to Shell Peru’s commercial performance in the LNG business by delivering administrative, operational, and analytical work that supports value creation, alignment with Shell’s strategy, and effective execution of commercial agreements. The role is accountable for driving day-to-day commercial activities, supporting governance and board-level processes through sound analysis, and enabling Shell’s growth in emerging energy markets through well-founded account engagement and tailored value propositions.

Main Accountabilities

Daily Operations Management (Domestic LNG Business)

  • Manage truck nominations, invoicing, client communications, and finance coordination.
  • Maintain and improve processes for Truck Loading Facilities.
  • Provide input for economic analysis and prepare monthly reports.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored Shell value propositions and coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Governance Support

  • Deliver analysis and inputs for governance materials, economic assessments, and stakeholder discussions.

Business Development

  • Support the development and execution of new commercial opportunities while coordinating with strategic partners to assist in drafting and implementing agreements.
  • Monitor local market trends and identify new business lines aligned with Shell's growth strategy.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Selling & Negotiating: Applies Shell’s E2E sales process; leverages value selling techniques and customer insights; uses consultative negotiation approaches to optimize outcomes.
  • Key Account Management: Demonstrates the importance of establishing a comprehensive customer account plan; understands customer value drivers, stakeholder decision-making, and displays professional credibility to enable long-lasting relationships.
  • Applying Customer Value Proposition: Articulates and adapts Shell Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) combining quantitative and qualitative data; aligns offers to customer needs and applies available pricing mechanisms.
  • Commercial & Economic Acumen: Understands Shell’s business model, pricing, margin, and profitability metrics; evaluates risks and market trends to support decision-making.
  • Value Chain Understanding: Explains how commercial value is created across the LNG value chain; utilizes demand and supply dynamics to enhance performance and strategically manages inventories to buffer uncertainty.
  • Managing Customer Experience: Complies with E2E customer processes (e.g., billing, contract management). Uses effective questioning and listening techniques to understand and address customers' stated needs.
  • Pricing & Exposure Management: Understands Shell’s pricing strategies, deal structures, and competitive positioning; uses pricing tools and monitors margin performance.
  • Applying Technical Capability: Applies LNG product knowledge to identify technical solutions, describes complaint handling and trainings, refers to colleagues for system-related customer care, and provides information on issues that drive future change.
  • Customer Insights into Strategy: Engages with customers to gather insights, explains data collection methods, and uses predictive analytics to improve decision-making.
