The Role

An exciting opportunity for you to be part of a global team that provides solutions supporting the Global Risk Management, deliver insights from data through excellence in advanced risk indicators and digital strategy.
What’s the role?

As a Senior Manager for Risk Logical Data, you will be participating in the assignments of the Commodity Risk Management Solutions group in validation and risk measurement and focuses on:
  • Logical Data Model Constructs, data flows and integration
  • Interfacing with the Quantitative Data, Applied Data Engineers, Process Excellence and the PDT group
Logical Data includes understanding advanced financial mathematics, for valuation and risk measurement, systems and logical data models. You’ll also make recommendations for standardization and proper data usage. They champion the usage of data in business and communicate the benefits and return on investment for application and product owners.

You’ll also be continuously involved in the wide data model of Trading and Supply and beware as it evolves and making sure single risk management individuals meets with the data T&S model.

We’re keen to speak from individuals with extensive direct experience in an energy trading or banking organization. You’ll also call on your degree in a numerate or finance degree while bringing us your knowledge with energy markets and fundamental understanding of trading, deal structures, key risk metrics, market to market, position reporting, credit ratings, exposures and collateral. A master’s degree or relevant professional finance qualification (CFQ, ERP, CFA) or in the process of undertaking such a qualification will be a plus.
We’d also hope to see as much of the following on your CV:
  • Experience in data integration projects and automation via ETL Tools (i.e., Talend, Informatica, SSIS, etc.)
  • Experience in developing Data model design and governance standards, best practices
  • Knowledge of the mathematical foundations of statistical inference and forecasting such as time series analysis, multivariate analysis, cluster analysis, and optimization
  • Knowledge of the design, development, and maintenance of various data models and their components. Ability to create conceptual and logical data models.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and technologies and database optimization techniques.
  • Expertise with ETRM’s (Endur & Aligne) and ERP’s (SAP) applications

You must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team. You should also possess excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
