What's the Role

The purpose of the Component Planner role is to plan and schedule all inbound components and finished goods to a blending facility in North America to ensure that components are available to deliver the bulk and pack production plan each day. This role has an indirect influence to ensure a high customer service index (CSI) score as well as meeting internal supply chain metrics such as inventory targets (DIO) and on time/in full delivery (OTIF).  Some of the materials schedulers will also interact with the third-party plants that Shell uses in the network to manage both components as well as finished good planning.

What you'll be doing

These roles will be focused on one to two plants for the daily work but will also be expected to be able to cover other areas of the US network as needed and work within the E2E Performance Team to deliver team targets.  A Materials Scheduler will also be expected to work with the operations team at the plant(s) to ensure their components are available for the daily production schedule as well as communicate back to a broader team if there are delays/changes that impact product availability.  As such, the Materials Scheduler has a very significant impact on customer experience and overall supply chain performance for pack and bulk finished goods, as if the components are not available then the production schedule will be negatively impacted, which will filter down to product availability concerns for our customers.
