The Role

ROLE: PH COMPLIANCE

JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible in ensuring adherence to PH legal & fiscal requirements relative to indirect tax.
  • Act as a focal point in key operational issues including but not limited to those involved in tax compliance/administration and research activities related to tax while monitoring daily/monthly updates on the indirect tax and ascertaining that these updates are properly and accordingly integrated in the process for accurate and timely compliance

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Complete all assigned indirect tax scope (Complex to high complex activities) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide expertise to FO and non-FO stakeholders: Team subject matter expert
  • Participate in and/or lead MIT related projects across various locations and processes; initiate lead process improvements
  • Resolve and escalate issues timely and effectively
  • Comply with team, center, process and global policies and procedure
  • Manage effectively interfaces with FO and non-FO stakeholders, build end to end perspective
  • SOAR owner/supervisor role
  • Control operator of either Key or business controls; Ensure operational and design effectiveness of the controls within areas of responsibility
  • Support Team Manager and actively participate in team back-up structure
  • Other assigned activities as deemed necessary

ROLE: GLOBAL TAX ADMINISTRATION

JOB PURPOSE:

The Tax Administration Specialist ensures accurate and timely system tax settings in the ERPs with direct involvement in the analyses and maintenance of licenses and excise duty groups; update of excise duty rates, validation tables, default tables and handling types; maintenance of tax condition tables; processing of customer exemption certificates; customer invoice dispute resolution; investigation of SABRIX content issues; and maintenance of licenses in SABRIX.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This role deals with complex issues resolution in global tax administration involving interactionwith various local, regional, and global teams with work demand of building end-to-end business perspective leveraging compliance to global tax processes.

  • Take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to continuous process improvement and simplification in tax administration and other processes
  • Provide management information and ad hoc reports to project delivery
  • Support User Acceptance Testing, Hypercare and project stabilization
  • Assist to tax reviews and statutory audits
  • Work within the Integrated Support Model and liaise with IT to resolve issues
  • Dealing with complex queries and large volumes of information
  • Build trust and confidence with Finance in the business and manage interactions at all levels of diverse culture
  • Adapt flexibly to changes and identify areas/processes to simplify/improve
  • Attention to details; incorrect settings may lead to significant tax exposure and financial risk to the company

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Graduate, CPA licensure board passer
  • With 2-3 years of Tax/Audit Experience and/or Tax Return Preparation
  • Knowledgeable in SAP, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
  • Experience in Excel macros or VBA and Alteryx would be a plus
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willing to collaborate and work under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Adept in analysis with high attention to details

ROLE: MANAGE INDIRECT TAX - US VOLUME

JOB PURPOSE:

The Tax Admin Specialist is accountable for timely solution of queries raised to the team and supporting other tax teams. He or She should be able to describe how the business works through the system. Specialist is also expected to deliver process improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the operation

The main responsibility is to ensure the appropriate system tax settings in the complex ERPs for the Shell companies in scope and by doing so working closely together with various local, regional and global teams.

The Tax Admin Team also provides management information and ad hoc reports related to project delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accountancy
  • 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in managing data and reports
  • Amenable to work on 5PM - 2AM work schedule
