What’s the role

The location of this role is the Shell Polymers Site in Monaca, Pennsylvania. The site, previously known as the Shell Pennsylvania Chemicals Project, was started up in 2022 and Shell’s entry into the Polyethylene performance chemicals market. Shell Polymers is now a critical part of the Shell Chemical global portfolio and integral to the success of the overall business. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a team of highly motivated individuals, working with a newly constructed world-class asset.

As a TRACK Software Specialist, you will work within the Shell Polymers Monaca Maintenance, Turnaround and Construction (MTAC) Organization and is accountable to manage the software that supports daily invoicing. This includes labor, material, and equipment for all enrolled vendors. The role requires the ability to work in collaboration with business functions and various disciplines. A critical component of the position is communication with key business and vendor stakeholders to ensure accurate recording and reporting of business transactions.

Accountabilities:

  • Management and set-up of user accounts, password resets, profile permissions, report filters, and organization groups

  • Management and develop of reference documents for TRACK processes – instruction and troubleshooting guides

  • Management of TRACK vendor listing with SAP details

  • Management of vendor and TRACK supervisor email distribution lists

  • Data entry / import of craft rates, as required for increases and/or changes

  • Management and development of Skill, pay formula, and schedule

  • Management of TRACK master data – skills, rates, contractual equipment rates, supervisor ID master, ERP vendor codes

  • Updates schedule as required for vendors for site events (Outages, Turnarounds, Projects, etc.)

  • Onboard new vendors into TRACK – creation of TRACK agreement, skill names and rates, labor classifications, service master set-up and material module, and TRACK orientation

  • Coordination of all data with Contracts and Procurement group

  • Input and review of TRACK contract language for vendors

  • Vendor management of TRACK expectations, including communication of new processes

  • Mentor vendor timekeepers, payment reconcilers, and business approvers

  • Management of training/refresher workshops as needed by the business

  • Management of daily offsite, unscheduled overtime, and other scenarios through overrides

  • Management of daily badge events

  • Management of daily missing badge events, including gate issues with Security

  • Management of daily rejections of entries

  • Monitor of Purchase Order utilization – communication with Contracts & Procurement and Finance

  • Monitor of unaccepted, unallocated, unapproved entries

  • Support to MTAC team with regards to correct Purchase Order & Work Order combinations

  • Management of TRACK access for Shell employees

  • Management of correct service and material masters

  • Management of credit invoices

  • Management of “black out period” for newly enrolled vendors

  • Management of IT changes – new software releases, hotfixes, server outages, application issues, etc. for both Shell and vendors

  • Management of system – submit help desk tickets for defects, bugs, and/or interface issues

  • Engage with offshore TRACK Admins as needed for completion of various tasks

  • Support of ad hoc requests from other departments and Shell Internal Audit

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

  • You must have a minimum of 3 years’ refinery or petrochemical experience

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

  • Mastery in TRACK software

  • Certification of TRACK Timekeeper level, TRACK Authorizer level, TRACK Coordinator level, and TRACK Trainer level is required

  • Strong knowledge of SAP

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-discipline teams, including but not limited to Contracts & Procurement and Finance

  • Embraces utilization of technology – High level understanding of office 365, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, iPads are an asset

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills that inspire and energize people to create a clear sense of direction and priorities

  • An ability to positively influence people, effectively drive work processes and ensure compliance with policies

  • Ability to drive execution and stretch the performance of people with a wide range of capabilities

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills to effectively coordinate individuals to deliver and drive action plans to resolution

What we offer

The base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year.  Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.      

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance.
