HSE Tech
Purpose:
To implement the strategy to deliver the Asset’s Goal Zero (No Harm & No Leaks) ambitions.
Individual Accountabilities:
HSE Tech
- Perform Asset HSSE activities across Production, Wells, & Projects to maintain HSSE systems, processes, compliance, coaching, challenge, and assurance.
- Ability to implement, use and verify appropriate systems across range of Asset activities (FWE, Assist & Assure, Contractor’s HSSE Management Systems) as appropriate for the contracting and HSSE strategy.
- Support the Front Line Leaders (FLL) in managing work and our contractors.
- Support the Contract Holders (CHs) to have the primary safety leadership relationship with contractors.
- Act as HSSE resources to be deployed based on risks, activities, optimized coverage, and minimized road safety/fatigue concerns.
- Provide support to the Asset HSSE team to maintain and improve the required HSSE systems (FWE, ERP, training, SCE, road safety, etc.) and perform assurance to demonstrate effectiveness & compliance.
- Support HSSE activities around contractor assessments, investigations, audits, etc.
- Manages multiple large operational and tactical HSSE projects.
- Works as an autonomous Safety professional, translates the guidelines and standards into practice and solves common safety challenges. Works within HSSE Control Framework and policies under defined directions while receiving occasional guidance on techniques.
Shared Accountabilities:
- Coordination with the Asset HSSE Natural Team (including Environmental & Regulatory, HSSE Delivery Leads, and Tech Safety Engineer) to deliver HSSE performance.
- Collaboration with Frontline Leaders through a coach, challenge, and assure relationship to empower them in their management of contractor HSSE performance.

Key Challenges:
- Creating relationships with FLL through coaching, challenge and assurance. Avoid taking on their tasks and help them develop HSSE Competencies.
- Support Safety, Environment & Asset Management standards compliance but identify unaffordable HSSE requirements for others to challenge.
- Support an inclusive & collaborative environment within the Natural Asset HSSE Team and avoid silos.
- Focus on higher value activities demonstrate courage by saying “No” to lower value activities to remain affordable.
