Global Key Accounts (GKA) Industry & Mining team is a strategic contributor to the More Industrial Pillar of the Global Lubricants Strategy.
In this exciting KAM (Key Account Manager) Mining role, you will be accountable for the business development of Shell’s lubricants business with the major Mining Companies (i.e., GKAs) in the world. There will be a strong focus on APAC, particularly in Australia where a vast part of the global mineral reserves are.
By supporting the GKA Mining Sector Lead, you will be developing and implementing key strategies to grow Shell’s current lubricants business with Top 10 Global mining companies in APAC as well as developing a strong pipeline.
You will be working very closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders and will need to master delivering through others – as majority of the business is conucted via Indirect channels such as Macro distributors.

What you bring
What you need to be successful in the role is:
Strong commercial mindset with large customers and complex deals
Experience in the mining sector or sectors related to mining.
Master stakeholder management both internal and external with customers and partners and at different levels of the organization
Business Delivery & Innovation: Drive delivery of Business Plan targets (Volume, Margin, Credit, Travel & Expenses spend) through collaboration with Local Key Account Managers and Macro-distributors, leveraging Value and Challenger Selling insights; bringing innovative ideas to grow the business via multidisciplinary teams.
Leadership & Coaching: Champion Commercial Excellence, mentor indirect reports, and support performance, discipline, and simplification across the team.
HSSE & Compliance: Lead by example in HSSE, promote Goal Zero, and ensure compliance with Shell Business Principles and competition laws; actively engage in safety culture initiatives and incident reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage senior-level relationships with key stakeholders, implement engagement plans, and maintain regular customer interactions.
Personal Attributes & Work Style: Demonstrate passion, resilience, positivity, and collaboration; capable of working independently in a virtual environment and managing uncertainty effectively.
This role will include about 30% travel in APAC, mainly Australia, including mine sites. Travel can however vary basis peak periods and business context. As part of a global team in different time zones, flexibility is required as well as provided.
