
Commercial Coordinator
What’s the role
Commercial Operations is responsible for the sale and evacuation of the oil & gas produced from Shell-operated and non-operated FPSOs in Brazil. It ensures that all contractual obligations are met and that the additional value embedded in the agreements is captured. It works closely with upstream Production Operators (Shell, Total, and Petrobras), Shell Western Supply & Trading (SWST), Shell Energy Brasil (SEB), and Shell Shipping (STASCO) to ensure zero risk to production, optimization of the DP Shuttle Tanker logistics, and maximization of value chain opportunities.
Commercial Operations is also involved in supporting the negotiation of new agreements and the development of projects.
The area is accountable for the oil and gas sales process and for ensuring effective management of the value chain, identifying gaps and opportunities for value maximization for the group.
The role of Commercial Coordinator involves effective management of the oil commercial agreements, protecting the value of Shell equity oil, and identifying opportunities to maximize value for the group. With strong interaction with JV partners, SWST, and STASCO, the Commercial Coordinator will manage the team to effectively plan and optimize the supply chain in a safe way aligned with the declared Goal Zero future.
What you’ll be doing
Long term Planning and optimization of the logistics and supply chain of the crude shipments
Perform contract management
Constantly assess tools and procedures in order to simplify, standardize, and ensure compliance
Negotiate logistics opportunities within Trading and JV partners
Deliver the Opex plan without oil deferments and at Goal Zero
Influence key stakeholders in order to implement the initiatives
Support other team members on medium- to long-term initiatives and deals
Negotiate ComOps contract agreements
Custodian of the cargo scheduling system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer
7+ years of experience in managing oil commercial agreements
Experience in Business Finance, Finance Planning and Reporting, Valuation, or M&A is required
Knowledge of the Brazilian regulatory/fiscal environment
Commercial acumen
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to negotiate and influence
Ability to build and manage strong relationships both internally and externally
Effective written and oral English and Portuguese
