What is the role?

Support the development, sourcing, deployment and maintenance of a winning portfolio of agreed products in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Technology, Suppliers, Base Oils, Contracts & Procurement and Materials Planning to support the business and growth objectives with the Joint Venture Raizen for Brasil and Argentina countries.

Manage the Regional agreed product portfolio, consisting of major brands and various private label brands, by ensuring:

Marketing claims and regulatory compliance Effective/smooth introduction and withdrawal of products Operational support to plants Ongoing cost/supply optimization.

Accountabilities:

Comply with Life Saving Rules and other Group Standard Support compliance with Group HSSE and Product Stewardship Standards and Policies :

a. Each product and component is legally registered where sold, and listed in the relevant inventories
b. Saleable Product must have a legally compliant Safety Data Sheet
c. Technically advising for trouble free manufacture and commercialization, in line with Group policies

Support the portfolio liaison with between Cluster Marketing, Global Product Management, Local JV´s areas (Operation and Sales and Marketing), including:


a. Plant Bill Of Materials are fully accurate and compliant with Shell Global Stardards
b. Support evaluation of critical supply/availability constrains and limitation in Region, develop mitigation plan
c. Support the validation and grant formulation/ waivers to use alternative component/base oil in order to overcome supply constraints and/or component issue
d. Comply with Global processes, ie Business Case Introduction or Withdrawal, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), make sure Product technical data in those process flow are complete, accurate and timely communicated )Shared accountability with Portfolio team.
e. Validate Root Cause Analysis related to Quality Assurance and sign off Improvement Plan
f. Roll out in Supply Chain technical Product and QA training for local cluster in Region, assess and improve QA related competences of key position in Plant
g. Support implementation of Global additive BID and supply tender results
h. Support analyses to critical raw material costs improvement projects in Region
4. Operational Stewardship / Quality Assurance
a. Get a deep understanding and contribute to improve operational standards, Quality Guidelines and rollout out new/improved standards at plant level
b. Support business growth by acting as PM focal point for new plant/production line construction and startup
c. Grant product off-specification quality waivers when justified. Review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure Corrective Action Plan (CAP) is in place. Contribute to the development of a plant continuous quality improvement program
d. Gate keeper for Quality Incidents in Region. Review RCA and CAP. Look for trends and propose improvements.
e. Support Quality Program (ie ISO/IATF).

What we need from you?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Lubricants Grease: formulation, production concepts and control quality.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the Lubricants Industrials: formulation, production concepts and control quality
  • Chemical Engineer, Chemical Industrial or Chemical Bachelors  - CRQ is mandatory
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivery of complex, large value projects.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Supply Chain management & Manage Quality Assurance Skill.
  • Technical Expertise of elements of the CVP Skill & Laboratory Activities Skill.
  • Advanced English
  • Hybrid position, and eventually a full presential week in Ilha do Governador can be necessary.
