What is the role?

The Renewable Project Developer will be in responsible of owning and driving greenfield development activity for large-scale renewable energy and storage projects in the United States. Near term emphasis on photovoltaic and storage (PVS) development.

Contribute to M&A due diligence within the US Renewable Power group will be the responsibility of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project development through permitting and interconnection milestones and work with Engineering and Delivery team to prepare project for notice to proceed

  • Establish best-in-class greenfield development process and tools via deep understanding of project permitting / land entitlement, community engagement and coalition building for renewables & storage assets.

  • Own US greenfield development budget and milestone / progress reporting.

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Minimum of 10 + years of experience required, at least 5+ years in development of PV, PVS, wind, and/or storage assets.

  • Familiarity with SalesForce.

  • Record of success in greenfield utility scale PVS, and/or wind development.

  • Expertise in community engagement, zoning, land entitlement and permitting for renewable power or similar projects in multiple regulatory environments across the US.

  • Strong project management skills, ability to build successful cross-functional teams, manage internal and external resources, and drive performance.

  • Fluency in site control, US transmission infrastructure, transmission planning process, and interconnection process a plus.  Experience working with utilities and/or grid authorities.

  • Assertive, able to cope with dynamic surroundings, a team player, prepared to travel up to 25% time.

  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and focus regarding all tasks and deliverables related to project development.

  • Strong network within utility scale renewable power & storage generation.

  • Environmental and/or relevant engineering background a plus.
