Rotating Equipment Engineer Asset
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of rotating equipment machinery in the assigned production unit.
You will provide frontline support of Production Unit's rotating equipment (RE) operations and maintenance issues. Proactively contribute to all activities of PU RE Delivery Team to improve reliability of Rotating equipment through timely and quality execution of following processes:
- Predictive Condition Monitoring as part of Proactive Technical Monitoring process driven by “Find Small-Fix Small” philosophy.
- Optimization of Rotating Equipment operations within design operating windows.
- Champion for Root cause failure analysis, Living RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) and Bad actors elimination programs.
- Corrective maintenance and Flawless start-ups of RE trains.
- TA support and Assurance of Flawless rotating equipment trains start-up.
- Spare parts management.
- Identifies, develops, and/or applies successful practices in machinery design, maintenance, and operation within the associated companies, among our peers & competitors and our suppliers.
- Supports operations in the areas of machinery selection, revampp and retrofit of existing equipment, identification of needed repairs, selection of overhaul procedures, condition monitoring, and interface with/or selection of vendors.
- Mentoring and training personnel in machinery technology, maintenance applications, failure analysis. Audiences include machinery skill pool and those in other skill pools that require some knowledge of machinery fundamentals, e.g., operations. Maintain acceptable level of RE contractors’ functional competence through on-the-job training, coaching and authorization processes.
- Maintains familiarity with some number of the specific technologies related to machinery, e.g., rotor dynamics, stress analysis, evaluation of load carrying limits, machine component design, and thermodynamic performance. The individual need not necessarily be able to perform the calculation or analyses. However, the individual must be able to identify and hire those with the appropriate skills and have sufficient skill to review the results obtained.
- Interface with and manage vendors and/or outside consultants in the acquisition of hardware or technical support.
- Provides technical support to projects developed by Bukom Project Department.
- Knowledge and experience in RCM techniques and application of the same for rotating equipment.
- Develops and implements initiatives for the reliability improvement of rotating equipment and its long-term sustainability
What we need from you
We are keen to talk to the candidates with the following:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Min. of 5 to 8 years rotating equipment engineering/maintenance experience in the oil or petrochemical plants
- Good understanding of the various international mechanical codes and standards, e.g., ANSI/API requirements.
- Machine Performance and Condition monitoring.
- Machine troubleshooting and Reliability improvement process.
- Hands on experience in the troubleshooting and repair of Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors, Steam Turbines, Gears, Mechanical Seals & flush plans, ANSI/API Pumps and Gas turbines.
