
Senior Product Analyst
What’s the role
The SLMT Salesforce Portfolio is designed to support Shell’s Marketing and Trading (SLMT) operations by delivering digital solutions that enhance deal lifecycle management, customer relationship management (CRM), and portfolio visibility. It includes applications like Symphony, Pre-Deal Approval (PDA), Concerto, and Beacon, all tailored to streamline workflows and improve data governance.
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Product Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of the various Salesforce application, ensuring it aligns with Shell’s strategic objectives and delivers value to the business. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and stakeholder management to drive innovation and adoption of the platform.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Product Strategy and Vision
- Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Symphony platform in alignment with Shell’s Powering Progress strategy.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the platform’s capabilities to meet evolving business needs and industry trends.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external partners, to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their needs are addressed and expectations are managed.
Product Development and Delivery
- Work closely with development teams to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
- Ensure timely delivery of product releases while maintaining high-quality standards.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor the performance and usage of the various Salesforce applications, leveraging data and analytics to identify areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experience, efficiency, and scalability.
Change Management and Adoption
- Develop and execute change management plans to drive adoption of the Salesforce applications.
- Provide training, support, and resources to end-users to ensure successful implementation and usage.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure the Salesforce portfolio complies with Shell’s governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage risks and dependencies associated with the platform’s development and deployment.
What you bring
We are keen to speak with individuals who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in a technology or energy-related industry.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, data integration, and process optimization.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, and data analytics tools.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
