In Powering Progress, we’ve set out a strategy to deliver for our customers, for society, for our investors and for the planet. Powering Progress sets out our strategy to accelerate the transition of our business to net-zero emissions.
Powering Progress generates value for our shareholders. It provides the financial strength to transform our company as the world makes the transition to cleaner energy. It focuses on working with our customers and across sectors to accelerate the transition to net-zero emissions, in step with society. A net-zero world is where society stops adding to the total amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Powering Progress means powering lives and livelihoods through our products and activities, and by supporting an inclusive society. It also means respecting nature by protecting the environment, reducing waste and making a positive contribution to biodiversity. Powering Progress is underpinned by our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people and our focus on safety. This includes our commitment to doing business in an ethical and transparent way.
The world is changing fast and Shell is changing, too – not only to keep up with the external pace, but also to anticipate and shape a different future. The new integrated Corporate Relations (CR) function will deliver value by supporting our strategy and sectoral approach and improving policy and advocacy outcomes. We will bring the outside in and secure and drive Shell’s reputation and values. Drawing on a strong base of professional excellence, we aspire to be best-in-class at achieving integrated outcomes through effective engagement and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
