Here’s an opportunity to truly grow your career, working across all aspects of engineering

We’re looking for a leader in Terminal Engineering and Asset Management: An accomplished communicator, who will relish the chance to build relationships and drive change across Shell’s business.

What’s the role?

As an experienced engineer, you’ll lead and manage Engineering Services to terminals within Shell’s Trading & Supply Organisation (T&S). That means working virtually across a diverse range of cultures and countries, providing effective engineering services to Shell‘s terminals and depots, (particularly, in Germany).

Your challenge will be to successfully integrate the workstreams across various engineering functions, delivering safe and reliable operations, from inspection and maintenance, to managing assets and implementing terminal capital programs – whilst, ensuring legal and Shell Control Framework Compliance.

Your skills at nurturing global relationships will be vital, winning trust and great results from contractors, consultants, and terminal managers. Most importantly, you’ll thrive in an excitingly varied role that will immerse you in every aspect of engineering.

What we need from you

Alongside your engineering degree and experience in project and asset management, you’ll need to be commercially gifted, with excellent communication skills. Plus you’ll have a leader‘s vision to drive and manage change. Beyond that, we’d hope to see some of the following on your CV:

  • A background or understanding of the inter-disciplinary engineering functions at terminals and depots or other Hydrocarbon related assets
  • Familiarity with IT solutions (SAP, CAPEX Bay, etc), as well as Contracting & Procurement processes, Storage & Handling, Maintenance contractors and Post Award Contract Management process
  • Proven experience as contract owner and/or holder for strategic contracts
  • Good knowledge on the reliability and integrity of Hydrocarbon related equipment

If you don't see yourself fully reflected in every job requirement listed on the posting above, we still encourage you to reach out and apply. Research has shown that not everyone often applies when they do not feel 100% qualified. We are committed to creating a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse company and we strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ages, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, sexual orientation, and life experiences to apply. We look forward to receiving your application.

Flexible working

We are keen to support flexible working arrangements, subject to local regulations and legislative frameworks. If this is of interest to you, please describe in your application the type of flexible working arrangements for which you would like to be considered (e.g., part-time, job share).
