Position Purpose

As a Turnaround (TA) Scheduler, you will assist the TA Master Scheduler in all aspects of TA scheduling for assigned events at the Scotford Energy Park within the Maintenance, Turnaround, and Construction (MTAC) department. You will create an optimized, resource-leveled, critical path schedule of work activities based on priorities, deferment opportunities, and available resources. You will ensure TAs are scheduled with the approved scheduling tool with the requirements specified in the Perform Turnarounds work process. 

Accountabilities:

  • Develop a detailed integrated schedule utilizing Primavera under the guidance of the TA Master Scheduler in preparation of the TA event

  • Engage in internal and external scope optimization activity

  • Optimize and develop an executable TA schedule by engaging key stakeholders: production, TA block coordinators, and planners

  • Facilitate the discussion on the longest path, critical activities, and near critical activities during the detailed planning phase

  • Develop and test the integrated schedule

    • Develop baseline schedule

    • Integration with all the Shell disciplines and contractors (main package contractor, real estate contractor, specialist, etc.) to ensure only one integrated schedule is used and tracked during execution

  • Update and track the pre-work activities in Primavera

  • Assist the master scheduler in updating the integrated schedule during TA execution

  • Lead integrated schedule for all Turnaround post-work activities

Requirements:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in planning and/or scheduling positions

  • Education in a skilled trade or engineering is preferred

  • Advanced skill in Primavera application

  • Certified P6 basic training module and Certified P6 advanced training module preferred

  • Experience with the SAP PM module

  • Knowledge of the work process surrounding turnaround events

  • Knowledge of end-to-end scheduling processes in turnarounds

  • Experience in PowerBI development is an asset
