Position Description:
- Deliver the task as Instrument Operations Technician to ensure the technical integrity of the plant meets the required the required standards as per COMPANY internal SMEP-IMP, SMEP-MEC and AMS-PME processes.
- This is achieved through coordinated preventive or corrective maintenance and inspection of Instrument & Control system (Process Automation Control Optimization - PACO) equipment primarily. Candidate is also required to have basic understanding and experience in oil and gas plant processes and instrument, control and safeguarding system maintenance and inspection.
- Operate the process plant within the operating envelope to meet Crude oil production and Gas export/lift target and quality.
- Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Work and interact with Discipline/Support/Maintenance Engineers and Vendors to assist in day-to-day operations and maintenance.
- Perform HSSE Critical Position/Roles as per MLK Operations HSE Case
- Perform other appointed Safety Critical Roles such as commissioning, helicopter handling, storekeeping, involvement in studies (e.g. RCM), gas testing, emergency search and rescue etc.
- To assist Instrument Operation Technician in performing approved troubleshooting, repairs, machining, refurbishment and improvements on instrument & control system equipment & power generation in nature as part of Malikai’s strategy of insourcing.
Position Duties & Responsibility:
- Ensure full compliance with Group Life Saving Rules & Process Safety Fundamentals at all times.
- Responsible for safe operation & maintenance of the facilities.
- Accountable/Responsible in ensuring safety task specify in relevant HSE Critical Position Roles are performed as per MLK Operations HSE Case. Incumbent is required to accept the relevant roles assigned, by signing the accountability and responsibility pack.
- Deliver agreed production targets & drive towards best-in-class unplanned deferment by ensuring the following
- Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks required to maintain Technical Integrity and plant reliability of the facilities are executed without jeopardizing the Safety and Health of personnel and with no harm to the environment.
- Identify threats to production and manage them via the MTO process.
- Supports Senior Operation Technician - Instrument (Team Lead) and together with wider Maintenance team led by Maintenance Supervisor, ensure AMS-ME key indicators such as Schedule attainment, CM Backlog, SCE PM Compliance are healthy within domain of control.
- Ensure safety at the work site through proper control of PTW & JHA, application of Operations HSE Case, application of the MOC process, ensure active HSSE interventions and record them in ACT.
- Responsible to maintain and control Process Control Domain (PCD) access as per SMEP PCD procedure.
- Commit and Demonstrate towards the MLK Safety Leadership Journey.
- Ensure protection of the environment through proper housekeeping, waste segregation and monitoring of flaring.
- Perform safety critical task assigned.
- Report work progress and plant status daily.
- Completion of jobs and PM compliance raised and close out work orders.
- Perform Daily Logging and Update equipment history.
- Involve and responsible in ensuring MLK is meeting AMS-ESP requirement if assigned to any of its elements.
- Support implementation and operationalization of Malikai Focused Site Ownership Scheme & MSOM that includes Malikai Cadence A4 workstream.
- Raise cost saving or reliability improvement initiatives / suggestions as part of Malikai Cadence A4 initiatives.
- Support implementation and operationalization of Materials Management processes at location.
- Participate in project activities particularly during commissioning.
- Execute emergency response duties such as ERT, DFA etc. Training will be provided.
Working Option: Full-time, on roster 14 days on 14 days off
