What’s the Role?

The successful candidate will be responsible for the support of packaging and warehouse operations including running packaging equipment, driving forklifts, managing warehouse inventory, loading and unloading trucks.

The successful candidate will be involved with the following activities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate packaging machinery and material movement equipment

  • Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase plant reliability

  • Communicate verbally and in writing to operators, employees, supervisors, and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity

  • Perform duties to distribute products to applicable areas, load, unload trucks, and support packaging lines

  • Perform equipment changeovers, supporting preventative maintenance and cleaning equipment.

  • Contribute to keeping process materials records

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices

  • Keep log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shifts. 

  • Understand and perform physical inventories

  • Maintain a positive and safe work attitude

  • Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices and actively participate in improving plant safety culture

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

  • Must be at least 18 years old, with a minimum High School diploma or GED

  • At least 1 year experience working in a packaging plant or similar experience in an industrial plant or military environment such as prior Military experience in a relevant job function including warehousing, supply, logistics and forklift operations

  • Previous experience working with high-speed, high-volume material handling equipment, forklift, filling bottling, canning experience preferred

  • Must support a drug-free, harassment-free work environment and comply with the safety and diversity & inclusion policies

  • Must possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States

  • Practical knowledge of industrial safety standards preferred

  • Successful candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of the site or be willing to relocate to within a reasonable distance of the site without relocation assistance

  • Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends when the need arises

  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively

  • Ability lift up to 50lbs unassisted

The starting hourly rate for this role is $20.08. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay.
