Where you fit in

Ensures that stores inventory parts and/or tools and equipment are available as needed. Administer Warehouse management system and vendor managed inventory.   Provides additional support to the site as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all-inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned)

  • Maintain stores inventory, including, but not limited to: inventory optimization, standardization, auto-fill, cycle counting or other physical inventory methods — utilizing standard tools such as CMMS and enterprise software (SAP) environment

  • Ensure that parts/tools/equipment are available for scheduled work. Establish and maintain "job kit" system to provide for planned work, maintain MRO supplies as necessary to support maintenance activities

  • Prepare appropriate activity reports in coordination with accounting

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors in support of optimized maintenance stores inventory

  • Participate in administrative and technical programs, such as cost reduction, process improvement, reliability improvement, root cause analysis and communication

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within maintenance / HSSE department (LEAN)

  • Administer and support warehouse management system (WMS).

  • Support other Maintenance personnel with WMS

  • Administer vendor managed inventory with specific use and needs data

  • Provide support for ISO Quality Management System activities relating to Maintenance and Stores areas

  • Provide leadership to peers regarding HSSE processes and programs

  • Receiving of incoming maintenance parts and supplies

HSSE roles and responsibilities:

Individual contributor to safe and environmentally sound facility operations. Perform and participate in various administrative support activities to achieve SC&T-MC HSSE expectations. Follow all SC&T-MC HSSE requirements and respond immediately to hazards by reducing risks, reporting incidents and participating in determining the root causes.

What we need from you

  • A legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

  • Associate degree in any related field or equivalent with at least three (3) years’ relevant experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in inventory management and buyer

  • Experience in SAP is required

Specific skills and experiences must include:

  • Ability to use personal computer, communicate on the phone, read and comprehend written material, and write correspondence

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, and various other software programs

  • Knowledge of inventory management and maintenance processes.

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization or public in a professional and appropriate manner

  • Ability to participate and manage/coordinate team activities

  • Ability to work in excess of the normal 40-hour workweek, including non-standard hours as required by business needs

  • Ability to travel as required for training and company business

  • Ability to access, unassisted, all required areas of the facility and the ability to lift 30 pounds

The base salary range for this position is $62,000 - $94,000 per year.  Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
