The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, coordination and execution of Maintenance activities. Maintenance ensures safe, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.
What’s the role?
As a Field Execution Tech, your key accountabilities include the following:
- Responsible for maintenance on all mechanical static and rotating equipment such as pipeline, pumps, compressors, turbines, hydraulic system, lifting equipment, valves, vessels, tanks, to ensure high plant reliability and equipment integrity.
- Provides day-to-day hands-on repair of rotating and static equipment.
- Supervise contractors in executing critical activities such as lifting, welding, equipment repair, alignment, flange tightening on the field to ensure safe and quality work.
- Drive high standard of personal accountability & performance to deliver the Site & Department goals and target.
- Mentor and guide the team (mechanical maintenance personnel and contractors) in execution of mechanical related maintenance in the process unit meeting the maintenance targets (HSSE, Meeting Plan, KPIs, Budget, etc.).
- Support engineer to resolve equipment bad actor. Updated GSAP history and equipment repair status spreadsheet.
- Provide good documentation to ensure all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes.
- Maintain work requests and records on maintenance works using computerized maintenance management systems, GSAP.
- Undertake all maintenance activities related to Corrective and Preventive Actions and Management of Change (MOC) activities related to the Production Unit.
- Individual contributor and team player in collaboration with multiple disciplines, stakeholder and contractors, corporate partners.
- Compliance to site HSSE standards and requirements, enable a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned critical activities.
- Perform duty as Permit Applicant (L8 and below) and Permit Verifier (L9 and above) for maintenance activities.
What we need from you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Construction or Maintenance in oil & gas, chemical/ petrochemical or related industries.
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures for reliability improvements.
- SAP (GSAP) knowledge in Maintenance Module is preferred.
- Experience in field work interfacing and stakeholder’s engagement.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration and managing contractors and vendors.
- Able to work in Team environment as well as standalone when need arises.

This position is part of the in-scope SECP Business and while the employing entity may initially be SGSC, a successful candidate’s employment contract will subsequently be transferred to Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (“ACE”) to facilitate the Transaction. From completion of the Transaction, ACE will cease to be a Shell group company and will be owned by CAPGC.
Specific details relating to the impact on relevant employees supporting the SECP Business and timeline relating to the change of employing entities, will be shared with the successful candidate.
