Distribution Operations Support Advisor

The Inspection Engineer reports to the Lead Equipment Integrity Engineer, develop technical solutions and technical assurance for safe operations of Bukom manufacturing site. You will also provide support to deliver the site’s business objectives.
What’s the role?
The successful Inspection Engineer will be tasked to perform the following accountabilities:
- Manage the NDT vendors, in safety, permit, productivity and quality,
- Assess vendor’s capability and technician’s competency,
- Explore and manage of advanced NDT work, including turnaround,
- Review and assess the critical NDT results,
- Provide the advice on the application of NDT techniques,
- Manage radiation safety and compliance with regulatory requirement,
- Plant on stream and shutdown inspection.
What we need from you
We are keen to talk with individuals who have the following:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years’ experience OR a Degree with 5 years inspection engineering experience in oil refinery or petrochemical industry.
- NDT Level 3 in Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing and Electromagnetic Testing,
- Hands-on experience in conventional and advanced NDT, able to evaluate advanced NDT results,
- Minimum of 5 years of NDT supervisory experience,
- Good communication skills and able to work people at different level,
- Strong environmental safety and personal safety mindset. Good understanding and familiar with safety practices involved in pressure equipment and piping inspection as well as NDT activities.

(“CAPGC”), a joint venture company between Chandra Asri Capital Pte. Ltd. and Glencore Asian Holdings Pte. Ltd (the “Transaction”). The Transaction will transfer all of Shell’s interest in the SECP Business to CAPGC. Subject to regulatory approval, the Transaction is expected to complete by the end of 2024. This position is part of the in-scope SECP Business and while the employing entity may initially be SGOP, a successful candidate’s employment contract will subsequently be transferred to Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (“ACE”) to facilitate the Transaction. From completion of the Transaction, ACE will cease to be a Shell group company and will be owned by CAPGC.
Specific details relating to the impact on relevant employees supporting the SECP Business and timeline relating to the change of employing entities, will be shared with the successful candidate.
