
Operations Specialist
What’s the role
Shell is looking for an Operations Specialist to drive reporting, analysis, and operational excellence across the North America Shell Recharge business. A successful charging network requires constant measurement and ongoing improvement across field service, customer experience, and engineering and construction workstreams. How well are we executing and delivering value, and at what cost? From service tickets to customer sentiment to construction pipeline velocity, the Operations Specialist will be the expert at understanding how we execute and where we can improve.
The Operations Specialist will report to the Director of Products and Programs, and will be an expert on our business operations, productivity tools, and business intelligence tools. They will work closely with Service, Customer Experience, and Deployment team leaders to build dashboards, reports, and insights that enable clear internal collaboration as well as continuous operational improvement.
They will collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to ensure high data quality in business operations and analytics. They will partner with teams to formulate actionable imperatives resulting from their work product – this is not just an analyst role; we expect you to formulate solutions and help drive them with the team. This role will be working with data from CRM/Salesforce, Service Ticketing, Project Pipeline Management, and Business Intelligence tools, as well as internal Shell databases, datalakes, and financial reports.
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience in analytics, operations, or EV Charging
A deep understanding of charging hardware and OCPP messaging, field service workstreams and ticketing tools, customer experience measurement, and call center workflows
Demonstrated capability with business intelligence tools, Salesforce analytical tools, and Microsoft suite analytical tools
Passion for operational efficiency, measurement and metrics, and leveraging data to drive improvement
Highly collaborative and organized. Able to switch hats to speak fluently with different types of teams, processes, and decision-makers
Possesses an agile, innovative mindset with the ability to leverage that mindset in a complex, large company setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for/with a charging network operator

What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $101,000.00 - $151,000.00 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
